Natural Resources
- Implement Hazardous Fuels Reduction Projects
- Assist in the development of Fuels for Schools Programs
- Aid local cedar mill to diversify product line and utilization
Information and Education
- Sponsor field days, tours, demonstrations, seminars and programs to help landowners and others learn more about managing their "bottom line", whether that is dollars, jobs, products, or the resource itself (such as forests)
Rural Economic Development
- Retain and create quality jobs
- Establish long-term predictable timber supply
- Develop Value Added Industry
- Supply advanced Education and Job Training
Technical Help
- Help develop ideas into "quality" projects
- Provide assistance to develop and coordinate locally identified projects
- Help find and facilitate agency, organization, and private sector assistance
Referral Help
- Serve as a clearinghouse of technical and financial assistance information
- Refer requests to the proper agency, organization, or private consultation if RC & D cannot help directly
Funding Help
- Assist in developing funding proposals to foundations, corporations, or government agencies
Organizational Help
- Assist with establishing or strengthening local groups organized to address a specific resource problem
